Meet Captain Andy Grisenthwaite

I am located in Oswego, NY; a premier port of Lake Ontario.  My charter boat season begins mid-April targeting brown trout.  Then, as the Spring progresses, we begin chasing steelhead, lake trout and salmon into the summer months.  From my drift boat, I fish for walleye during May and salmon and trout in the Fall.

All my charter boat trips carry a “Fish Guarantee”. If we complete your entire scheduled Lake trip without catching a fish, you only pay the deposit for the day.

Broad Horizons Guide and Charter Service is operated in strict compliance with all United States Coast Guard and New York State regulations and is a Drug-free vessel.

April – May Special: For each charter booked for April and May, the client will receive a discount of $75 off a charter during July and August. Both trips must be booked at the same time and the discount will apply at the completion of the later trip.

I've been busy with lots of desk work lately! Shows and hotels are arranged; brochures updated, ordered, and bundled; newsletters produced and mailed; some internet listings updated and still researching a couple shows...when can we get back to the fishing side of this business?

This year, I'll be at Hartford Cabelas, Jan 29-31; Harrisburg Feb 6-14; Springfield Feb 19-21; and Wilkes-Barre Feb 26-28. Stop by and say hello if anyone attends them!

Here's a couple pics from Harbor Patrol yesterday. All my bites came on Lyman plugs with most hits on dipsies and a few on 3 colors of leadcore. Had a bunch of hits, battled most, and got 4. It was a good time with Armin and Kevin! ... See MoreSee Less

The Garbrey's were back again yesterday this year along with Mike Fortier. We ran out to about 450' and started working some fish between 450' and 525'. Most of our hits came on a Seasick along with one dypsy hit and one meat hit. We broke off a good one and had another miss...not a bad day compared to reports from shorter water. ...
