Oneida Lake and Lake Ontario
Late July and Early August
Sorry for the late reports, Summer fishing has gotten into full swing.  Oneida Lake walleye fishing is pretty consistent trolling in the 30 to 40 foot depths around Buoy 119 with spoons and sticks.  Drifting with crawler harnesses has been effective also.  Lake Ontario has really heated up with kings in the mid and upper 20's being taken regularly.  We've been mainly running flashers and flies on the downriggers, dipsies, and copper.

I still have some availability during the week and select weekends in September.  Contact me to schedule your trip.

July 5, 2010
We fished from Oswego to the West today between 300 and 500 feet of water.  We had action from the start and stayed steady throughout the day.  We had a mix of species, kings, a steelie, and even a brown.  Varying presentations on the downriggers and the copper took all the fish today, no wire dipsies at all.  The hot flasher and fly today was the Nuclear Green Prochip and an Atomik Green Hammer Glow fly.  The different spoons I ran were all hit pretty equally.  We threw back some, lost some and kept a few.

June 26 & 27, 2010
We are back fishing the "East End" of Lake Ontario again.  Although the fishing was great out West, it's time to come back home.  On both Saturday and Sunday we caught a mixed bag of 1, 2, and 3 year old kings and some very nice steelhead with 2 tipping the scales at 11 pounds. The shaker salmon seemed to be more of a nuisance with our spoon program so we trolled flashers and flies mostly targeting bigger fish.  We fished in water from 100 to 400 feet deep as far North as Sandy Pond..

Lake Ontario, Olcott, NY

We fished from Olcott today with 3 people aboard. We ended boating 6 of 7 hits, landing a mixed bag of one nice king and some coho's, steelheads, and an Atlantic.  Fish hit on downriggers and various flatlines trolled from the surface down to 60 feet with flashers/flies, stickbaits, and spoons.

We fished out of Olcott again today with 3 people aboard.  Again we boated 6 of 7 hits and put 5 kings in the cooler.  One came on a Prochip/Atomik fly on a downrigger and the other 5 came on the 300 copper and a spoon.  We fished in water from 100 to 250 feet deep.

We fished Otsego Lake for lake trout today with 4 people aboard. We ended boating 10 of 11 hits, all lakers up to about 8 pounds. Fish hit on dypsies and downriggers down 40 to 75 fow with flashers/flies or spoons about equally.
